Transformation investigations were carried out with the herbicide terbuthylazine in five different scale levels. Migration tests in labour and in field show comparable sorption values both under waterunsaturated (outflow column, small-lysimeter) and under watersaturated (flow-through-column, experiment field) conditions. In gravel the resistant terbuthylazine is degraded to desethylterbuthylazine. Under watersaturated conditions the half-life period depends strongly on solution volume-to-sediment mass ratio and is minor than under waterunsaturated conditions.
