Abstract
The international competitiveness of the sawmilling industry in Germany is analysed using market-share-analyses of selectet markets of coniferous sawnwood. The competitiveness of the sawmilling industry in Germany is compared with the competitiveness of the sawmilling industry in Austria, Finland and Sweden. Factors affecting the divergent competitiveness are discussed.
