The crystalline hercinic horst presented, reaches the altitude of a hill (under 600m) and is surrounded by a submontaneous area. In the forests of the crystalline group there are montaneous species, such as Cardamine glanduligera O. Schwarz, Symphytum cordatum Waldst. et Kit. ex Willd. and Telekia speciosa (Schreber) Baumg. The species of the sub-montaneus level are: Galium pseudoaristatum Schur, Crocus banaticus Gay, Galium parisiense L. and Sagina apetala Ard. subsp. erecta (Hornem.) F. Hermann. On the western sides of the hills, there are many thermophilous plants, such as: Quercus frainetto Ten., Sedum cepaea L., Centaurea indurata Janka (in the forests) and Trinia ramosissima (Fischer ex Trev.) Koch, Thlaspi alliaceum L., Vulpia bromoides S.F. Gray (on the grasslands). From a phytogeographical point of view it is a transition area among the floristic provinces such as: Carpaticum, Dacicum and Pannonicum.
