This paper describes that forest management requires interdisciplinarian, experienced specialists for inventory, planning and for optimizing the material and immaterial benefits of forests and forestry. Using the example of forest management it is demonstrated how work flows of forests/forest enterprises are united in the Hessian State Center of Forest Management, Research and Ecology.
