Soil erosion in hilly mountain regions, considering on-site and off-site damages, is very important. In erosion control, grass cover as well as forest cover are studied and applied in practice very often, but there are still many scientific, technical and economical problems to be solved. That is why, two small watersheds of 7.6 ha and 6.4 ha are set up in mountain Goc in republic Srbia as experimental stations for multipurpose research of erosion, run off and in the same time for the study of the effects of forest and grass cover in longterm erosion control. The ten-year results of this research for the period 1980-1989 are presented in this paper.
