In the forest district of Uslar in the State Forest Administration of Lower Saxony all dead and habitat trees from seven Forest Ranger Stations were registrated in the years 2000 and 2001. Data were analysed on the basis of 248 hectares giving a first survey about the distribution of amount and - space per district, about the percental distribution of particular degrees of decomposition and different types of trees as well as the portion of trees with hollows, nests and fungi.
