Abstract
The paper deals with the reform of forest legislation in the 1990s, discusses the change of forest policy preceeding and contributing to the reform, and reviews major changes in forestry related legislation. Most of the discussion is devoted to the new Forest Act, as the core of the reformed legislative network on forests.
