The influence of laser irradiation on adventitious root formation was studied un the cuttings of Ligustrum vulgare L. taken in mid-December. The results indicate that laser irradiation exerted a positive effect on rhizogenesis especially in the dose of 5 mV. Combination of laser and infrared irradiation exhibited no different effect. The increase in the number of rooted cutting, number of roots and their average length were affected significantly in particular at the beginning in the course of root formation. In further development this effect decreased.
