Abstract
The effects of pollutants on pine ecosystems have been studied in the joint project SANA "Complementary scientific program for sanitation of atmosphere in the new German lands" beginning from 1990. The high precision radial increment of sample trees has been estimated as an easily measurable integral parameter that reflects all the sum of ambient effects on the forest growth.
