Phytopharmacological influence of extracts of onion skin (Allium cepa L.) and garden thyme (Thymus, vulgaris L.) on the fungus Dothichiza populea Sacc. et Br., which causes bark canker on poplars, was examined for two years at Poplar Research Institute, Novi Sad. These extracts "in vitro" successfully prevent germination of pycnospores of this fungus depending on formulation and concentration.
