The extent of the sector services is often used to describe the economy's state of development. The creation of new services and specialized enterprises taking over former production sector's activities lead to an enlargement of the sector services accompanied by a reduction of the primary sector. Potentials and consequences of this tendency in the field of forestry as well as in the course of academic education are described.
