Abstract
Measuring electrical resistance (ER) of living tissues at the tree base proved to be a sensitive method for assessing tree condition and survival changes of declined trees in air polluted areas. In 400 test trees periodic determinations of ER using "shigometer" and "conditiometer" were made and their survival changes assessed.
