Inorganic and organic pollutants emitted from the Aluminum Smeltery at Ziar n. Hronom have been monitored since the beginning of 1965. F, As, S, and heavy metals are cummulated by the forest ecosystem. The area is alos influenced by the homologous line of paraffin from C14 to C32 of non biogenic origin. Spruce needles were taken in 1986. Results of X-ray microanalyses showed, that the particles on the surface of spruce needles were of inorganic origin. The composition and form of particles are identical in the whole area.
