Abstract
Top dressing (commercial liquid fertilizer Vegeflor) and water solution of indolyl-butiric acid (100 mg/1) have been applied during the rooting process of cuttings of European beech (Fagus silvatica), Scotch elm /Ulmus scabra), European hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) and Sessile oak (Quercus petraea). Spraying with combined solution of fertilizer and IBA increased significantly total root length of cuttings and the number of roots of higher orders. Within Norway spruce (Picea abies) the method of unrepeated addition of nutrients by soaking in the solution of liquid fertilizer proved useful.
