Ecological monitoring of forests in southern Poland was performed on the basis of the set up network of squares, 25 x 25 km each. The following plants were decided to be tested samples: Picea excelsa Lam., Oxalis acetosella L. Vaccinium myrtillus L. and the level of sulphur as well as micro- and macronutients were measured in them. The areas of high, medium and low level of environmental damage werde distinguished on the basis of the six-grade scale. Results of the study highly correspond with mathematical model of pollution in Poland.
