Various photogrammetric methods for revising forest maps have been assessed for a small test area in the Kobernausserwald.The accuracy with which changes can be detected and plotted are examined. The study suggusts that stereo orthophotographs provide an efficient means for forest map revision. The potential of recently developed digital techniques is also discused.
