In autumn 1989 seeds of 15 different local shrub species were collected for afforestation at a dam project of the Rhein-Main-Donau AG. The collected seeds were prepared for storage by the Bavarian Institution for Seeding and Planting. Teisendorf, and sown by the nursery Fleischhacker, Wuerzburg- Lengfeld. Information about fruit quantities per shrub, fruit ripening, seedweight, thousandseedweight, etc. and time needed for harvesting a shrub was collected.
