During the preliminary evaluation of the last provenience research with Picea abies /MPP CSR-GDR 1972-76/77/ with the determination of losses and measuring of heights were done the phenological observations with the presuppose that the results can have the practical importance for using the certain phenological forms during the transfer to other localities. The spring growing of buds and occurrence of the new sprouts was followed periodically in the interval of 7 days on 4 localities of the told research in the spring 1981 and 1982. The observation was realized due to methods recommended already for the inventarization experiment IUFRO 1964/68. For the evaluation the classification scale with 8 degrees was used. It was started always on the April 1st, this date was simultaneously used as the basis for determination of number of days in which the different provenances reached the individual degrees of bud-flushing. From the reason of better manipulation by one observer it was from the whol amount of 64 provenances selected 20 provenances representing 20 different growing regions of spruce. Always 10 trees, i.e. each provenances needed always 40 observations, were evaluated in each repeating on plots, founded with system of double bars. The course of bud-flushing was followed on the end buds of the last sprout. For the characterisation the degrees 1, 3 and 6 were chosen for which the basic biometrical characteristics were calculated with the number of days as the quantitative indicator of evaluation by analysis of variability. Testing of differencies among the individual provenances was done by help of Tukey s test. On the plot No. 14, Forest Enterprise Ledec n.Saz. it was in the year 1982 and 1983 realized roughly in the middle of followed period /May 27th and 20th/ at once the phenological observation in fully extent with evaluating the state of bud-growing of all living trees /roughly 10 000 pieces/. The statistical importance of the differencies in the spreading out occurrence in individual degrees of bud-flushing was judged by mean of quota table and x2-est, similarly the relation of the selected 20 provenances to others from the same region was verified. Among the results of evaluation there were not so big changes, the provenances were classified into 3 basic groups which imaginated the different phenological types of bud-growing. Also in the individual years their classification did not change essentially /see tables in text/, the conclusions determined after the phenological observations from older researches were confirmed. As the early flushing it is possible to presuppose the provenances from the higher levels from the Alps, Giant Mountains and Harz, Bohemian Forest, Ore Mountains and Orlicke Mountains.
