Abstract
In oak and mixed stands with a share of oak, as well as in parks and shade trees, one observes many a time clean eatings caused by mass appearance of the peagreen oak-roller (Tortrix viridana L.). The sessile oak and the American red oak are most frequently attacked. In 1986, the peagreen oak- roller moth appeared very numerously in forest district Plonsk (forest region Olsztyn). Biopreparation Bactospeine creme, containing spores of Bacillus thuringiensis Berl., was applied for controlling this dangerous pest. The treatment was performed with the use of agroair equipment. The mortality of caterpillars almost to 100%, what - as related to biological control - can be acknowledged as an excellent result.
