The Rukiga Highlands form part of a mountainous region in south-west Uganda on the eastern side of the western Rift. Well dated pollen data have been used to describe the late Quaternary vegetation history of the Rukiga Highlands. This article focuses on part of the record from Muchoya Swamp, covering the last ca. 21,000 years.
