Abstract
A study on acid deposition in mixed deviduous forests in mixed decidous forests in Thailand was conducted during 2001-2003 in Nongrawiang plant genetic conservation centre in Nakhon Ratchasima province, and at Khon Kaen University in Khon Kae province. It was part of a joint project between the Royal initiative projects and the Khon Kaen University. The study objectives were to compare acid deposition, chemical components in stemflow, throughfall and rainfall, chemical components in fresh leaves of the dominant tree species (Xylia xylocarpa), and biomass in the forest type.
