Abstract
Since the adoption of Resolution H3 "Forestry Co-operation with Countries with Economics in Transition" at the Second Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe (Helsinki, 1993), Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) have experienced significant changes regarding forests and the forestry sector. In implementing Resolution H3 more than 500 projects have been conducted on a bilateral and multilateral basis focussing on a wide range of forestry issues, co-ordinated by UNECE/FAO.
