When producing a tree height map [5] also provides a tree cover map. This map shows the proportion of the area covered by trees with a resolution of about 30 m. They provide two maps, one for trees with a height lager than 1 m and another for trees larger than 5 m. The map for trees with a height of more than 1 m was used here. The map is based on images observed in the years 2017 to 2020. This map had some gaps. To detect those gaps the map of [6] was used. [6] is based on observations in the year 2021, has a resolution of about 10 m and includes the land cover classes tree–cover and mangroves. Their proportions are aggregated to the resolution of the [5] map.
