The objective of this book is to allow professionals to use the seeds of forest broadleaved trees efficiently. The autors habe concentrated on the whole chain of treatment from harvesting of seeds or fruits in the forest right up to the sowing of the seeds in the nursey, emphasising the importance of each of these stages in the production of plants ultimately capable of growing in a forest environment. Arising from the lengthy experience of the two laboratories, and illustrated with numerous experimental results, this work shows that, including for those species reputedly difficult such as beech, oak or wild cherry, storage for several years is now possible, and sometimes even after the elimination of dormancy. This work was originally published simultaneously in French and Polish and has now been translated into Englisch.
