- AbstractA Computer program was written which added graphical, convenient Interface and additional functionality to existing FORLAS patch model of forest stand development. The enhanced model was examined in a wide range of geographic locations and lowland forest sites of Poland. Primary forest succession was simulated under different climate change scenarios. Resulting tree species compositions, simulated for fresh sites and default (no changes) scenario, roughly conformed with those of natural forest communities. Cold-wet scenario favored mostly spruce and pine while beech was promoted by warm-dry climate conditions.
