The described type of cable way for afforestation is thought as an aid for the large afforestations at present beeing under way in southern Switzerland as substitute for the chestnut forests, and also for the afforestation in the zone of the subalpine forests where large pasture areas will be afforested in the near future. The lack of labor which will even increase in the future forces to rationalize with technical means and also to extend the period of planing. Therefore transortation problems arise which can be solved with a cable way for afforestation. A cable hoist type is developed considering the most important requirements such as: one way shuttle system, easily collapsible steel tube frame, and easy transportability. Setting up and opersation of this cable hoist for afforestation is very simple. The design however requires some knowledge in case that loading and unloading at any suitable cable crane system which could be easily suspended at the described type of cable way for afforestations. The design of the entire installation could be facilitated this way.
