Abstract
This study investigates the role of the local landscape in the long-term success of a combined lifestyle intervention for inactive people with overweight, the so-called ‘Beweegkuur’. Part of the intervention is that participants are introduced to local activity and exercise opportunities. During the intervention, they can try out different activities and at its end they are encouraged to choose an activity that suits them, to help them to sustain the activity level reached at the end of the Beweegkuur.
