Land-Use Changes in European Mountain Ecosystems : ECMONT - Concept and Results, S. 218-224
Abstract
Potential risks through land-use changes were investigated in the Stubai Valley and Passeier Valley composite landscapes. The major part of this applied research was contributed by the INTERREG II-project INTEGRALP to ECOMONT. In order to assess potential risks in differently managed ecosystems, the following processes were analysed: (i) Assessment of snow gliding: (ii) Key parameters of soil stability: (iii) Measurements of soil stability and soil movement: (iv) Determination of rooting density and rooting intensity on slopes: (v) Development of patches of bare soil and unstable slopes.
