; 53(10) - AbstractProductive communication between management and forest workers concerning jointly defined aim and objective agreements provides forest workers with a precise course of action, enabling them to attain the agreed upon aims and objectives in a skilled and cost-effective manner. At the same time, a prosperous business with satisfied employees is guaranteed. To achieve such goals, the corporate identity of the Federal State Forest Administration of Lower Saxony must be changed. It is time to do away with the era of hourly/piece-work rates and to consciously diminish traditional methods of management. Rather than just passing out orders, the future should be characterized by unity and conviction, which will result in motivated ambition and achievement.When concrete objectives are definied, performance urged and an adequate framework established, including sufficient latitude in realizing these aims, then economics success is to be expected, even under difficult conditions.With this in mind, monthly salaries offer a real chance of very consistently striving for a continual process of improvement.
