ISSW2018: international snow science workshop: a merging of theory and practice - Abstracts ; P3.6 (2018) - AbstractABSTRACT: Glide snow avalanches are a prevalent natural hazard in the Alps. This contribution centers
around one specific protection measure, a snow net system that avoids any uphill anchorage. The focus is set
on monitoring this facility. Thus far, recordings cover only impacts far below the designed scale. In preparation
to record more indicative events in the future, the test site is regularly evaluated.
