- AbstractTwo natural Scots Pine stands from the Emilian Apennines were compared to Italien and German populations. Number of cotyledons, needle length of one- and two-years old seedlings, bud number and seedling conformation type are the traits compared. Results show that cotyledon number, needle length and conformation type are correlated with the latitudine of seed provenance.
