Abstract
The EUFRO program of provenance tests of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii Mirb. Franco) started in the spring of 1972 at Blinje trial site near Kresevo. The heights, the range, the survival rate, the volume of the mid-range trunk and the total volume per hectare at the age of 32 years have been measured. Statistical significant differences for the mentioned characteristics have not been found. However, as far as the height is concerned the 1099 provenance (Vasco Pine Grove, USA) proved to be the best with the mid-range height of 20,90 m for the front range of 1099 provenance and the mid-range of 26,46 cm, and for the survival rate the 1100 provenance (Grand Ronde Agency, Oregon, USA) with the rate of 37,33 of the plants per one site. The greatest volume of the mid-range trunk was that of the 1099 provenance and it was 0,3796 m3, and the greatest volume per hectare had the 1036 provenance (Alberni, British Columbia, Canada) and it was 442,54 m3/hectare.
