Abstract
Tissue culture techniques are being used in an attempt to revocer somatic variation in eastern white pine embryo cultures. Plantlets with increased resistance to Cronartium ribicola as determined by in vitro inoculation with basidiospores will be multiplied clonally in vitro. Some of these plantlets will be rooted, and the seedlings will be screened for resistance in the greenhouse. Resistant seedlings will be clonally propagated for field evaluation.
