  • Abstract
In the paper, results of studies on the influence of age of mother plants and place of taking lignified cuttings of Scots pine on their rootage are presented. Stimulator IBA in concentration 0.5% increased the rooting of shoots of 1-year-old plants from 78 to 96%, of those of 2-year-old plants from 4 to 58% and of those of apical shoots of 3-year-old plants from 0 to 12%. In 3-year-old plants, under the influence of IBA, cuttings of whorl shoots and those of bases of leaders rooted well, respectively 78 and 70%. The tops of the leaders are not good material for rooting.
